NJ Inspects provides free home health and safety inspections for veterans across New Jersey. We help identify hidden environmental and household hazards that can impact your health, safety, and independence.
Our inspections are designed to uncover issues such as mold, radon, poor water quality, and basic home safety risks — especially concerns that may affect veterans living with PTSD, TBI, respiratory conditions, mobility challenges, or service-connected disabilities. - Mold indicators and indoor air quality screening
- Radon testing when appropriate
- Water quality testing (lead, bacteria, nitrates)
- Home safety and hazard screening (fall risks, basic HVAC and safety checks)
- Educational materials and a veteran resource guide
- Follow-up support if concerns are identified
